I had assistance travel because of mobility problems and I was helped out to the pick up point intime for the 1pm coach outside T1. I asked the driver if I could come on-board and pay him. The driver was very abrupt and told me his coach was fully booked and that I'd have to wait until 3pm and that I needed to book online. I could clearly see that the coach wasn't fully occupied and appreciate that he still had to go to the other terminal but even so his response and manner I found to be rude and abrupt.
Various members of my family have used this service in the past and were able to pay the driver on the day which is why I hadn't thought to pre book.
Thankfully I was able to get my luggage on a trolly and go back inside the terminal. I booked the 3pm online as instructed and returned to the pick up point for 3pm. The driver this time was very helpful getting my luggage on board and when we drove to the other terminal there was a change of driver. I have no idea what his name was but his was the first belfast accent I had heard in three months and I have gotta say he was super friendly and helpful to each and every traveller who boarded the coach. Some people had turned up, like me, and hadn't booked a ticket. When asked if they could pay the driver direct he told them that once he got all ticketed passengers inboard that nobody would be left behind. He had a friendly, calm attitude and he did indeed get everyone on board. His driving was very good as well (I'm a driving instructor) and he was very professional even when dealing with a few idiot drivers on the road.
The 3 stars is mainly because of my initial experience with the first driver.
