On 30th Juene, I travelled on route 703 from Glasthule to the airport at 1705. I am a retired manager from a UK bus company. I was surprised to be told not to use the front seat as ‘it is broken’ as this would cause a prohibition (PG9) in the UK.
Travel was brisk but braking was harsh and uncomfortable. We had to wait time at Blackrock as we were early something I had not experienced on this service before (I use it every other month as I visit my older sister ina care home). What did unnerve me was the failure to apply the handbrake at traffic stops, relying entirely on the foot brake with the possibility of the coach creeping if concentration is lost. I had the experience of one of my drivers dozing off in traffic leading to the death of a pedestrian. Hence I am a little sensitive on this subject.
