First of all, I want to commend Allie for great customer service. There was a mishap with my bread- I had ordered a plain banana bread and got sent a chocolate chip one by accident, and she sent me a plain one in the mail... kudos for making it right! Truly appreciated. However, when I received my plain banana bread, i immediately cut open to it with excitement because of the hype and what I experienced was lack luster. When I cut into the bread and pulled it apart, little translucent strands (similar to the look of hair strands or cobwebs) of what I perceive to be sugar pulled out between every slice, which I did take a video of. I looked it up to see what exactly this was, and it turns out that this is the result when a moist bread/baked good has reached a certain temperature and is starting to turn bad due to moisture. Another issue I had was the size of the bread itself- pretty small in size for a full sized loaf over $30 with shipping. My dad got to try the chocolate chip loaf and enjoyed it, so I did end up purchasing another for him. All in all, I was just expecting more considering the 5 star reviews, the price, and social media hype.
