“We had the plain and chocolate chip loafs. The bread is delicious. No doubt. Walnuts in the plain loaf would improve it. The only opportunity is the size of the loafs. These things are tiny for $16.”

“I remember first having this banana bread during the holiday season when it was being made out of a ghost kitchen in a building on Maiden lane. And I remember being amazed the first time I tasted it. Of the many banana breads I've had, this topped all of them. So I had to buy more, try the other flavors and not a single one disappointed. So I'm excited to taste this banana bread again for the first time in a long time and I'm honestly afraid I'll get addicted like I did last time.”

“VERY different experience from before. I used to order this bread back in the day when Allie would announce an upcoming drop, and you'd set a calendar reminder so you could be in the running to get a loaf. On at least 2 separate occasions I didn't complete the purchase quickly enough, and the bread in my cart sold out from under me. I was disappointed, yet determined to be successful with the subsequent drops. Despite all of this, it was worth it! Not so much anymore. The loaves are literally HALF the size they used to be, and they aren't packaged nearly as carefully-- it seems as though the loaves are sealed in plastic wrap before they've had a chance to cool from the oven, so they end up being excessively mushy. I'm guessing the operations have been outsourced? Unfortunately the essence of what made Allie's Banana Bread such a hit is no longer there.”
