We have been using Amazon for years now and got a Prime subscription a year ago. If you order frequently from Amazon then it really pays for itself within a month or two just on free next day delivery's (or SAME DAY with Prime Now!). The service is great, we have used them to insure a few items and when our printer broke down they had a replacement sent out next day which is just amazing. They have an absolutely unrivalled and varied amount of products that are 99% the cheapest on offer. The Prime membership also gives you other great little bonuses such as access to their growing library of original media content and Twitch bonuses if you are a gamer. All in all I can't recommend them enough and couldn't imagine shopping without them anymore.
