I pay for Prime mainly for the delivery side of things, not so much for the other services. Several times now when I placed an order for next day delivery they did not arrive when they were supposed to. The most recent was an order I placed late one evening, so didn't expect delivery the next day but instead the day after which was fine. The following morning I received and email saying my order had been despatched and would be delivered today - result! (although it did mean that I had to change what I was doing and wait home for the delivery which I wouldn't have needed to do the following day as it was Saturday and there was someone home all day). So I checked my Amazon App and sure enough my order was on its way "arriving today". Late afternoon I checked again and several of the items had changed their status to "expected tomorrow" which was disappointing but the main item was still "arriving today". Early evening around 6.30ish I checked again and this time all bar one of my items were due to be delivered the following day but the main item now had an expected delivery date of 1st November! Now I know technically I wasn't due delivery of my items that day but Amazon had raised my expectations to the fact that they would be but now I had wasted an entire day waiting at home and what's more the very thing I needed was now delayed for almost another week... not exactly Prime service from Amazon. After an online chat with them I did get all my items the following day but all in all an unnecessary waste of my time.
