Been on the Essential Kit for 4 months, did not experience any side effects with the products, although I myself didn't notice a big change (understand that it takes time) BUT my family did mention recently that my hair looks darker/thicker than before which is great to hear!!
The medications are also at least 20% cheaper than retail so definitely recommend it!
