I have purchased a lot of items from Ann Summers in their retail outlets and on line and been very happy with their products.
Unfortunately their customer service in store leaves a lot to be desired.
I had an item to return and called in store with a receipt which stated they would be happy to refund or exchange the item within 28 days.
I took the receipt and the item and was told that receipt wasn't good enough and I would need the other receipt I would have been given with my purchase. They could exchange but wouldn't refund or give me a credit note.
My receipt showed my debit card details and the amount which corresponded with the cost of the item I was returning, which had it's original tags. It even had the name of the person in store who had served me, but despite asking for the Manager I was told the same thing.
The shop was uncomfortably hot and so dark I could barely read the tags on the items to find something to exchange it for.
I asked for the address to make an official complaint while in store and was given a phone number.
I checked on line and found an email address to make a complaint, which I did 6 days ago. Nobody has bothered to contact me.
I would seriously think twice about buying anything else from this company because their customer service is appalling both in store in Newcastle and subsequently as no response to my complaint.
