I purchased a Samsung Series 8 washing machine from AO on 23 May 2025. Within weeks, our clothes started coming out with a foul smell despite multiple cleaning cycles and correct usage. We later found this is a common issue with Samsung’s auto dispenser system, widely reported online.
I contacted AO expecting support. Instead, I was pushed to Samsung, who are now charging me £144 for a call-out, regardless of whether they can fix it or even find a fault. It’s completely non-refundable.
AO has done nothing except point me to the manufacturer. No ownership, no real help, just a complete pass-off. If this issue had started three years into ownership, I would understand. But two months in, this is absolutely unacceptable.
I’ve been a long-time AO customer, across several accounts and businesses, but after this experience, I will never use them again. They have chosen to protect a single sale instead of standing by a customer.
