Title: Physically Vulnerable, Still Denied Delivery I ordered and paid for delivery and installation. The driver refused to deliver, claiming he “couldn’t drive down” — despite large lorries and even fire engines using this road regularly. AO has also previously delivered and installed a washing machine here without any issue. We even offered to take the appliance in our own car then just to install , but he still refused, saying it was “too far for him to walk.” There is plenty of parking nearby. For context, I am a below-knee amputee, and my husband has just had a stem cell transplant. AO issued a refund, but that is not an acceptable solution — we still need the appliance delivered and installed as originally paid for. AO must take responsibility, honour the service promised, and make reasonable adjustments for vulnerable customers.
