Bad for consumers & shoppers. Creates a middleman layer so the vendor has less accountability than on curated marketplaces. Plus they spam shoppers with unwanted login codes than cannot be opted out. When I'm shopping on a website and checkout leads me to a Shopify interface, sometimes I leave and go see if the product is available on Amazon or eBay so that I'll have more protections as a consumer.
