“Shopify after 1 year of us using them shut down the store claiming the theme we were using could be potential copyright. We used a free theme they supplied and customised it with new images and content nothing major. They then asked us to purchase a new theme simple WE LEFT. Steer clear complete scam on there part. rea other reviews on trust pilot.”

“This company "viditer" / viditerz. Myshopify. Com.... Sells sewing machine on a very low price.. Tried to look for their website.. But cannot find it.. The tel no. 441913866821 provided is for a hotel in Durham. And i cannot find their store in the address 423 London Road Glasgow G40 1AG... It`s good I rang first the no and search the address before I plan to order. I don't know if VIDITER is a legit company.”

“Bought a coffee machine from samakor on shopify but the machine never showed up and samakors page no longer opens online. I phoned the number from the recept and it was for a local council. Scam shop and terrible platform.”

“Bad for consumers & shoppers. Creates a middleman layer so the vendor has less accountability than on curated marketplaces. Plus they spam shoppers with unwanted login codes than cannot be opted out. When I'm shopping on a website and checkout leads me to a Shopify interface, sometimes I leave and go see if the product is available on Amazon or eBay so that I'll have more protections as a consumer.”

“I just got scamed by zoeefashion, a shop that i was leaded to, via Shopify. I ordered a pair of Merell shoes. The shoes that i finally received look like a very bad and cheap chinese imitation of the original brand. I suppose that this is an organised scam between Shopify and all these stores, that keep existing in shopify's list, even after scaming people daily. They host lots of scam stores from china . Do not start a shop in shopify as you will get the bad reputation of the scam websites they host. If you intend to start a legit and honest eshop, then do not do it in Shopify. The fact that Shopify keeps hosting stores like zoeefashion , means that all them work together to scam people (they keep hosting those scam e-shops, even after they are aware of the fact that these shops SCAM people). Opening a shop in shopify, next to all these scam stores that is already hosting, means BAD reputation for your eshop.”

“Very user friendly for a business owner who doesnt want to spend lots of money or time developing something else. I can only compare it with wordpress which personally I find a lot hard to achieve the same functionaility but am aware that wordpress does offer a lot more flexibility. Having said that, we have built a successful business using shopify as our platform.”

“Easy to use, plenty of app options to choose from. However most apps have a monthly charge which really add up. Based in Australia the USD/AUD currency doesn't help either.”
