SCAM ESPECIALLY FOR YOUNG PEOPLE. Booked a Sixt car through Argus Car Hire. Basically got scammed out of our money because when we went to get the car, they told us we, as younger drivers, had to pay a fee of ~100 pounds/day which was never mentioned in the contract or anywhere on their website! When we said there was no mention of that extra fee, they told us we should have called them to ask if there was one (which makes no sense?). We couldn’t afford the car since in the end it would have been ~1500 pounds more. So we asked them for a refund because they were not fulfilling their side of the contract. They refused to give it to us because it was 4 minutes after our pick-up time (although we were there 30min early and had to wait in line).
