We chose the Carteck insulated side hinged garage door set in steel blue with a small vertical rib and woodgrain effect texture. It feels and looks very durable and solid with an easy to clean surface. We looked at several different options with the very helpful surveyor, but preferred this design for the extra insulation it provides to the bedroom above the garage. Choosing the white interior finish was a worthwhile upgrade, as we use our garage as a utility/laundry/storage space and it brings welcome light at that end of the garage. We also like the side hinged door for easy access and privacy, it's not hermetically sealed but has considerably improved the inside temperature over winter. But because we use our space as a laundry room, it is helpful to be able to reduce humidity and ventilate the garage without having to open up the whole aperture. It was worth having the threshold fitted in our case as it improves the fit and prevents leaves blowing into the garage. The catch mechanism which holds the door in the open position is also very helpful when you are carrying things in and out of the garage. The team that dealt with us were very helpful and professional, answering all our questions and were keen to clearly understand our needs so we got the product that best fitted our requirements. As a result we are very happy with the finished product! :)
