Excellent espresso. I think I’ve tried all the varieties and flavors by now. I like smooth, balanced flavors and my faves are Heavenly Project (9/10), Guatemala single origin (10/10), and hazelnut (the only organic hazelnut pod I’ve found online). On the flip side, I didn’t like the caramel (maybe too artificial tasting?) or dark chocolate (maybe also too artificial? Smells like chocolate scratch-and-sniff stickers from I was a kid). I love the compostable pods, but am looking forward to when they can be individually labeled to identify the variety/flavor (right now all the pods are identical, so if you mix and store them in a container outside the box you won’t know which is which). I spoke with Artizan about the labeling and they said they’re trying to figure out how to individualize it, since there are printing limitations with the compostable pods. I love that they’re organic and am happy with the variety of choices.
