“These pods will not work in an Expesso coffee maker. I open one box and took out one pod. Very disappointed. I need to return trhese for a full refund. Please confirm and send me instruction for a retrun. I have not yet returned your product.”

“I tried the Cuba Mia and Stoult coffees, and both are very good! The pods worked perfectly in my machine. I've already canceled my Nespresso subscription and plan to switch to this brand. I especially love that the pods are more sustainable and aluminum-free, so I don't have to worry about potential aluminum exposure from traditional coffee capsules. The customer service was excellent, and my order arrived super fast!”

Caren, Thank you for the great question, and we’re so glad you’re enjoying the coffee! Artizan capsules are made from renewable plant-based materials derived from cellulose and vegetable oils. They contain no aluminum, PLA or fossil-based plastic. The complete capsule, including the body, top and bottom lids, and label, is certified for home composting. After brewing, simply allow the capsule to cool and place the entire used capsule, including the lid and coffee grounds, directly into an outdoor home compost bin, tumbler or pile. There’s no need to open, empty or separate anything. Mix the capsules with ordinary kitchen scraps and dry materials such as leaves or shredded cardboard. Keep the compost slightly moist and turn it periodically to provide airflow. Under proper home-composting conditions at ambient temperature, the capsules are designed to break down within 26 weeks. Actual timing may vary depending on temperature, moisture and airflow. If you don’t currently compost but would like to start, a rotating outdoor compost tumbler is one of the easiest options for beginners: A 43-gallon tumbler generally offers the best value and is the most reliable option. An 18.5-gallon tumbler is better for a small yard, patio or limited outdoor space. You can find many options on Amazon starting at approximately $30. Because the complete Artizan capsule is home compostable, the capsule, lid and coffee grounds can all break down together. Unlike aluminum capsules, there is nothing to empty, separate, collect or mail back to a specialized recycling facility. If home composting isn’t available, place the capsules in your regular trash rather than the recycling bin. The capsule is designed to biodegrade in the moist, oxygen-rich environment of a well-maintained compost pile. A landfill does not reliably provide those conditions, so we cannot accurately predict how quickly it will break down there. Unlike aluminum, the capsule is capable of biodegrading. Unlike conventional plastic, it is specifically designed to do so. However, home composting is the best way to ensure it breaks down as intended. Please do not place the capsules in a recycling bin. Compostable materials cannot be processed by conventional recycling systems and may contaminate otherwise recyclable materials. Thank you again for choosing Artizan Coffee! “Great idea having compostable pods but they’re not fully compatible with the Nespresso machine - I had 3 jam in the mechanism (I could get them out however) so that the surface wasn’t pierced to allow coffee to. One out.”

“I recently placed my first order from Artizan…ordering was easy, great discount for first time orders and great selection of coffee and best of all fast accurate shipping. I tried my first cup yesterday using the 14 Mushroom blend along with Forte Notte an it’s absolutely delicious. I’m a long time Nespresso customer but wanted to find more natural and organic alternatives and this coffee is IT…it’s great..the strength, flavor and crema…I like a strong dark roast! Also love the mushroom offerings. Will definitely recommend to family and friends and I’ll be back for more.”
