My company lease two cars through Arval. My car a Hyundai has never been fit for purpose since i received delivery of it in March 22. In fact the car has been with Eden Basingstoke for a total of 8 months during a rental period of only 21 months - almost half the term of the lease. We pay roughly £450 per month for this car. We were pretty upset at the problems we were having with the car and wrote to Arval asking them to help sort out the situation. This process started 3 months ago and i have now dealt with over 9 people since the start. We eventually got moved up the chain to a Senior Customer Services Manager for Retail called Peter. He has been no help whatsoever and offered us a mere 2 months rental as way of compensation for a car that has been off the road for 8 months out of the 21 months we have had it. He tried to charge me 50% of the remaining lease to take the car which incidentally the garage has confirmed as not being fit for purpose. I asked a number of times for a satisfactory solution to this on-going nightmare but none was forthcoming. Arval do not care about their customers and offer no personal service or help when a situation like ours occurs. We are now dealing through our lawyers which will incur further costs and time which I will claim back through the courts if necessary. Please do not use this company as they offer no real compensation and do very little to help when the customer is in need!
