I love the firepit and can't wait to use it. The lid and top of the firepit received some damage during shipping. This guy is heavy and the fed ex delivery driver dropped it on my porch. The way the lid is packaged upside down (handle down inside the firepit) without any padding between the two items caused damage to the black finish and chipped the finish exposing raw steel. I'm concerned this will rust once it's out in the elements. This doesn't affect usability but perhaps will decrease the longevity of the firepit as its power coat is chipped in multiple locations on both the lid and upper rim of the firebox. This thing is built like a tank so no structural damage I can see. It it hadn't been damaged in shipping I would give 5 stars!
