I got the fat herbie in double reverse shell and damn, this is one hell of a wallet! It’s quite a bit larger than I expected in the length and width departments, and quite a bit slimmer than I had imagined was possible. The dimensions are very different from any wallet I’ve seen before (and I’m not sure that I prefer that aesthetic to the more traditionally shaped wallets), but functionally it works really well because credit cards are extremely easy to access and don’t get stuck behind other ones. The width also makes it easier to put into a pants pocket than most other wallets. Materials-wise, I can’t find a single flaw. The shell is great quality, and using the reverse side adds a functional and grungy element to it that’s fun as long as you know that this wallet pairs better with jeans than with a tuxedo. One thing I learned is that black shell isn’t quite as awesome as other colors. This is of course a matter of opinion, but I have some color 8 boots and a wallet in color 8 and those patinated almost instantly whereas the black changes in a more subtle way. For some this may actually be a good thing, but for me, it’s a bit less exciting than my other shell colors. All in all, the many reviews I’ve read and seen on YouTube are accurate and truly represent the great quality that you’ll be getting. I’m really happy about this and I know that internet reviews (including this one) are written by complete strangers and so they aren’t the best source of accurate/unbiasedinformation. But this isn’t a surgical procedure. It’s a wallet!! The stakes are low and ashland truly makes a unique- looking product that is high quality and that you won’t find anywhere else.
