“Another winner from Ashland. This was my 4th wallet from Ashland and the first not to be shell cordovan. This English Tan Dublin Frank the Enforcer is sweet. I’m going from a Fat Herbie to a Frank the Enforcer. Quite the size difference. I’m enjoying the front pocket carry. I’ve never been a front pocket wallet guy, but I’m quickly becoming one. I don’t even notice it’s there. It’s taking some getting used to, to reach for my wallet in my back pocket and have mild panic until I realize it’s in the from pocket. That will come with time. Thanks for another winner guys.”

“As the senior patriarch of my family I was looking for a way to encourage and honor my adult children. Little did I know my oldest son was looking to honor me. My oldest son has always recognized quality and artisan uniqueness! His ashland gift of a wallet to me was so honoring and such a quality build that I soon made sure my other two sons also were honored with Ashland heirloom wallets for their college graduation. Special shout out to Matt who helped me at 9:30 in the evening get my order correct. These folks are incredible artisans and above all else will treat you like family and take care of you. “So far I have been pleased. I ordered 2 wallets, the Fox standard bifold and Bugs Moran vertical wallet that can be used front pocket. I did a lot of researching and reviewing of different manufacturers and makers, looking for a quality product that will last as well as fitting certain size and function standards. I was pleasantly surprised at the order fulfillment and shipment speed as well as the boxing. Both wallets arrived quickly and in great shape. I’ve started wearing and breaking in the Fox but I haven’t worn or used the Bugs yet. I’ve been pleased with the card fit and the break in process. It’ll be a year or two before I’ll really know whether my choices paid off but so far I’ve been very impressed and I have no regrets or doubts.”

“I love the wallet but there is an issue I have with the card pockets. Only on the right side, the edges at the top of each pocket are not sturdy enough and are exposing the lighter colored leather underneath. It might seem minor to some, but since it is in an area that will receive the most use I expected it to be more robust to stand up to normal use. Especially since the other pockets are fine.”

“I love it! I havent worked with leather for about 20 years and right now I'm in the middle of restoring a 1913 Indian Board Track Racer...so, I've got my hands full of projects! My old plastic check book cover was completely shot and I saw your add. I'm very happy with it and it has excellent construction. I learned to make saddles from Merv Ringlero. He was a native American war hero from WWII and he used to work for Porter Saddles in Phoenix. When I was learning from him he lived on the Indian reservation East of Phoenix. He is also in the Who's Who of Saddlemaking along with his father Louis Ringlero. I also took quite a few lessons from Don Potter down in Tombstone, AZ.( at one point in time, Don was among the top 5 Western Saddlemakers in the country. He was known and respected by Don King from Sheridan, WY. In case you're wondering who the heck Don King is, Don was definately one of the best in the world. He owned 'King's Ropes' and has the best saddle museum in the world. He also made some of the best leather tools out there. Sheridan still holds their annual "Don King Days'' celebrations. Merv made saddles for Audie Murphy (the most decorated war hero from WWII, James Arness (Matt Dillon from 'Gunsmoke') and Richard Boone from 'Have Gun will Travel'. In fact I still posess the saddle patterns for James Arness's saddle. This is all to say that I've been around for a while and I like your work. Best of luck to you!”

“I ended up returning the wallet, but the experience was overall a positive. Customer service was very responsive, and especially patient with me. The wallet I ordered was a one off “cigar” shell cordovan, with a cxl waxed flesh interior. I wanted it specifically because it was a one off, the practical benefits of a waxed flesh interior over the standard latigo or shell, and the rare shell color. The reason Inreturned it is that I believe the shell actually was color 8. It looked like color 8. It was quite burgundy in the light, the edges were a very bright burgundy, and there was red staining on the reverse. My ideal wallet would be a rare shell exterior, like cigar, but even more ideal would be a whiskey or bourbon, and a horsehide cxl waxed flesh interior. The only issue that caused the return was that I believe the color was mislabeled, and what I got was not as unique a color as what it was listed as.”
