“Nice. I would have preferred the leather key holder to be a little more height and more leather to wrap around. Some of my keys have large based ends and fitting my fob for getting to work (a thin disc) was tough. Thanks, RS”

“I like the wallet. But it gets two stars docked. The first one is because they forgot to stamp my initials. The other is for a minor quality issues that I noticed, but for a wallet this price I think I should be able to expect that these things would be checked before it gets sent out. Unfortunately i have been unable to get any pictures to upload but here is the quality issue i had. It came with this weird little dot that does not look like natural character like a bug bite. It looks more like an issue in the tanning/finishing of the leather. I tried to scratch at it a bit and its not some kind of goober on top of the finish, its more like the finish is somehow missing. Its a little rough spot that looks different.”

“I was in search of a finely crafted leather wallet. I purchased a Filson wallet, and upon opening it, I was not particularly impressed. It seemed rather overpriced. However, when I acquired my Fat Herbie Wallet, it brought a smile to my face instantly. I also purchased a Fat Herbie wallet shell cordovan on eBay, but I still prefer my newer Fat Herbie. Ashland Leather wallets are truly exceptional. The quality of the leather and the designs are simply outstanding.”

“I recently purchased a one-off prototype mini Fox in Dublin black. I've used it now for a couple of weeks and I love it. It's exactly the right size (small enough to be unobtrusive and secure in a pocket, but large enough to hold what I want), the workmanship and quality of the leather are excellent, the design in a bit different and very convenient and effective, and the wallet is very attractive in an understated and quiet way (which is what I want). It's outstanding.”

“I purchased two 'one-off' items - a vertical bugs moran with reverse interior, and a long wallet. The bugs wound up being an impulse buy, as a long wallet in shell cordovan is something I'd been searching for but hadn't found - until now. Both of them had EXACT pictures of the item. They were described well, photographed well, and there were no major surprises. One thing I didn't appreciate until I received my leather wallet was that the leather is tight and stiff. It takes a bit of time for it to stretch and be able to fit the items in them that the description says it can hold. This is particularly true for a credit card slot. You'll need to let the leather stretch out a bit to get cards in and out of these. This is not a design flaw, it's a feature. Shell cordovan is pretty thick and durable. It'll flex and stretch a bit with time and use, so it makes sense to have it be snug in the beginning and then break in.”

“I got the Johnny the Fox wallet for my 30 year old son for Christmas. He loved it!! I thought that 30 would be old enough to have such a nice wallet! But while traveling across a few states to get a boat, he set it on the trailer while fueling up, then drove off, never seeing his beloved wallet again. I just replaced it for his birthday. Maybe 31 is the age for such a wonderful, high-quality wallet! lol”
