“The leather I received was much darker than expected. Not really happy.”

We are also working on a new batch of the Vertical Bugs Moran wallets in English Tan Dublin and could take an exchange for a lighter colored one if you would like to try that. “Well, I learned a lot about buying online. I followed the directions about ordering one size above my belt measurement, but this new belt is too big. Unusable. Seems to be okay quality, but I’ll need to buy a hole punch to know, and $110 later, and I really hate it.”

“Packaging was good, delivery was fast, nice wallet design and colour however the wallet workmanship and quality in my opinion is poor: 1. Obvious clean cut scratch on the front of the exterior wallet 2. Blur patches and minor scratches on the back of the exterior wallet 3. Interior of the wallet, on the card slots there were 2 patches of uneven finishing, it’s not discolouration from the colour treatment 4. The card slot were misaligned before sewing, poor workmanship 5. Between the notes pocket, there was a huge patch of discolouration and scratches 6. The holes of the stitching were big and seemed stretched, uneven stitching, poor workmanship For the scratches, some may debate it will diminish through time and usage. But the workmanship gonna stay. I’m buying a new wallet and supposedly premium grade, never have I expect to receive the wallet in this condition. I’m just disappointed, and hopeless after reaching out to you via different channel but to no responds.”

“Good shipping and communication. Bought a good looking, nicely stitched cordovan leather wallet that had interior rubbing damage after 5 days of sitting in my pocket. In my life of wallets this never happened. Contacted Ashland, showed pictures of the damage and was told this is normal. Not in my experience of 50 years of shell cordovan. Cannot return because of monogram. They graciously offered to replace interior with flip side leather. I want smooth shell cordovan, not the rough back of the leather. Expensive lesson. Maybe their other leathers are better, don’t know. Maybe won’t bother you, but bothers me. Paid over $200 and was disappointed to have issues in 5 days. Maybe will smooth out in time, but still… Nice guys though. Mixed feeling about leaving a poor review, was contacted to leave a review, but buyers need to know what to expect.”

“The belt I received was ripped. I understand that it was an irregular and cosmetic issue are expected, but rips and tears are too far. I have shipped it back, but having to pay shipping twice on a ripped belt feels bad.”

“This was the second belt that I ordered from Ashland Leather. It was the same size as the first belt that I ordered about a year ago but the new belt was two inches shorter than the first belt. After exchanging several emails with customer support, I returned the belt in exchange for a longer one, but I have yet to receive it. Ordering something sight unseen is challenging, so consistent sizing is critical if you want repeat business. I had planned on buying more belts in different colors, but this experience has me questioning whether I will buy another belt from you again.”

“I had high hopes for the wallet but didn't meet expectations. I recently purchased a johhny the fox wallet Black Dublin an Teal. The leather is extremely Soft and shows Scuffs and Dents too easily. I recently sat on my keys in Back pocket an not impressed but the scuff and Dents impressions it has left in the Wallet. I honestly expected a little more for the Price.”

“Ordering a custom wallet was challenging. There's always something off each shipment of the wallet which per longed the entire experience. Even at the final shipment, they had the vertical card slots on the wrong side. Why final? A couple of reasons: 1. It had already been 3 months since I purchased the wallet and I couldn't wait for another month risking yet again another chance the order gets screwed up 2. The material is high quality and even though it's not the wallet I wanted, it's still a great wallet. It would have been nice if it had worked out. If I knew things would not have work out, I would have just bought a wallet that was off the shelf; it would have saved me money. I don't know what's going on with the qa, but something's gotta give. Never once did they get it right. I don't think I'll ever order a custom wallet from ashland leathers again. I don't mind ordering whatever they have in stock, though.”

“I have used the front pocket wallet two days and the side next to my body has badly faded. I contacted Matt at Ashland with a photo and description, who replied, " We don't take back used wallets." Other than the leather fading on the second day of use, the wallet is perfect and I liked it when I received it.”

“I am quite disappointed with my money clip wallet I ordered. After 2 months the metal piece in the middle has slidden off after multiple usages. At first, the product was excellent, the quality was premium it looked and felt the part. It is durable and works well until two months later. I was so upset to see that the metal piece no longer holds into place properly, especially because I had spent a decent amount of money on this wallet. I would advise anyone who is thinking of purchasing this money clip wallet to look elsewhere, and spend money on a different product because of the durability issues on this one.”
