“I just purchased my first Ashland shell cordovan wallet — the Frank the Enforcer — and I couldn't be happier with it as my everyday carry. On the stitching: For those concerned about the stitching — the front stitching is perfectly clean and aligned. The back has a few minor irregularities, but overall it's very neat and doesn't bother me at all. I'm curious whether the $100 upcharge for hand-stitching would make a noticeable difference, but honestly, the standard stitching is more than satisfactory. On the thickness: The shell cordovan thickness is a perfect match for this wallet design. It strikes an ideal balance — substantial enough that you always feel it in your pocket (no fear of losing it), yet slim enough to remain truly portable. In my opinion, it's the perfect pairing. On the leather surface: Upon receiving the wallet, I noticed a few faint marks that resemble fingernail impressions on the shell. I'm not sure if this is normal for shell cordovan, but I'll keep an eye on them to see if they fade or buff out over time with regular use. Going forward: I'll definitely continue buying Ashland products, though I'll be paying closer attention to their limited releases, where I've noticed more styles and options that appeal to me.”

“This is my third wallet from Ashland Leather, and once again, they knocked it out of the park. The quality is excellent, and you can immediately tell the difference with the Horween leather. It has that rich, premium feel that should only get better with age and use. The craftsmanship is superb — clean stitching, solid construction, and a simple design that feels both rugged and refined. I also requested a monogram, and it came out great without delaying the order. Customer service was awesome as well. I paid for expedited shipping, and the wallet went out the very next morning. That kind of turnaround, especially with a custom monogram, really impressed me. Overall, Ashland continues to deliver exactly what I want in a leather wallet: top-tier materials, excellent craftsmanship, and great service. Highly recommend.”

“Great comb and the leather sheath it came in was well crafted. Unfortunately I couldn’t remove the comb from the leather scabbard as it was so tight. I started cutting a seam at a time and heaving on the comb until it came free. Destroyed the leather but the comb has been awesome.”

“Losing a wallet is never fun — cancelling cards, getting a new license, the whole hassle. But it pushed me to finally get something I’d been eyeing for a while: a Horween shell cordovan wallet. That search led me straight to Ashland Leather. After watching a bunch of their videos and emailing back and forth with Matt (who was incredibly helpful), I landed on the Fat Herbie in Color #8. It’s gorgeous, it feels built to last, and I know it’s only going to get better with age. I was a little nervous about front‑pocket carry, but it fits great (8 cards and a bunch of cash) — better than expected. Honestly, I’m almost glad I lost my old wallet, because it led me to this one.”

“I just received the Small Zip Wallet. I really like the features and quality of materials. I had hoped it would be thinner. It is obvious when being carried in your front pants pocket. I am coming from a low-profile wallet. If I were to redesign it, I would remove the zipper (and "coin" pocket), replace it with a center snap closure, and reduce the material at the apex of the fold so that it would lay flatter. Overall, I am pleased with it and will keep it.”
