This was my first purchase experience with Ashland. Matt had been very patient and meticulous in his engagement- right through my decision making process for a custom Herbie. Delivery was ahead of schedule, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I feel the photographs/videos reflect a touch lighter shade of the whiskey shell (I had only bought natural prior to this) - in person, it is definitely more brown than tan. But then, Phil’s narration/description has always been accurate. For those who are on the fence about having hidden card slots, the additional layer of leather may have an impact on the number of cards you can have in the baseline card slots - but perhaps I’ll need to update on this aspect in a few months time, to see if the leather eases out to allow more cards. At the moment, I have two cards per slot, and don’t see room for more (unless I force it in, which I dare not). Super happy with the leather, thread combination, and the hand-stitching is absolutely on point. Now I need to get one more Herbie for Dad (don’t think he will fancy the pea green thread I have on mine).
