I have been so impressed by the quality of a Horween belt (in tan) I obtained a few weeks ago that I have recently ordered a second one (in burgundy). No way of knowing if it is "the ultimate jeans belt" for everyone, it certainly is for me. The buckle tang fits precisely in the middle of the 7 rain-drop holes of my 34-inch belt, which allows perfect latitude in adjustment for heavier or lighter shirts. The brass buckle has a nice patina which pairs well with both gold and silver colors. The belt itself strikes the perfect balance between honest quality of workmanship and justified price even on my tight budget (much too small for the wallets that look so nice). The finish on the belt is excellent and probably requires little care; but, by force of habit, I treat even new Horween products with a good oiled-leather application (such as Saphir) which also adds a bit of stretch to the belt. Ashland Leather is recommended.
