I have used checkbook style wallets since my teen years. They were the flattest wallet that I could find. I didn't, however like the fact that they are so long that they stick out of a standard size pant pocket. The Fat Herbie solved that problem. I get the flatness of a checkbook wallet, without the excess length sticking out of my back pocket. The design is genius, and the leather and craftmanship are outstanding.
