When I was diagnosed with Diabetes 2 over a decade ago, I went to the dietitian. At lunch I like to drink a chilled glass of unsweetened oirange juice. It was explained to me that even such drinks are full of sugar and one recommendation was sugar-free fruit teas. I followed the advice and have been delighted since. I mix a batch each day having heldf at lunch and the balance at dinner.
