STEER CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY
I took out car insurance online with this company for the first time via the Go Compare site. I tried to phone them several times over the next four days to check that the details on the online form were correct and got no reply. I didn't receive a confirmation email or any documents through the post so was already beginning to feel a bit uneasy about Autonet. When they finally called me, we discovered that a no fault claim from 2017 had been missed off the form thus adding £118 more to the quote. As if this wasn't bad enough, on top of it they wanted to charge me a £14.95 admin charge even though this was during the cool off period. I concluded if they were this difficult at the start of the process I had better get out now. They charged me £50.00 for cancellation and £4.83 for the cover even though I had been trying to cancel before and didn't go anywhere thanks to the lockdown. The insurance quote I finally received from another company was much cheaper, even taking into account the £50 fee they charged me. At a time when businesses are going out of their way to help customers due to COVID 19, this company's attitude is mind boggling. Shocking customer service! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!
