We placed an order for 160 printed t-shirts with Awesome on 31 May, for use at an event on 1-3 July. ie we gave them plenty of time, well within what they claimed was necessary.
But a few days before the event they suddenly decided they wouldn't be able to do it in time. That led to us scrambling around in a panic looking for an alternative supplier, and paying over extra £300 for it then being a rush job.
I understand there are supply issues across the industry at the moment, but Awesome should have:
1) Made the unreliability of their ETA crystal clear at the beginning
2) Informed us far earlier in the process that delivering on time was going to be a problem.
3) Been honest from the start. The only reason we went to Awesome in the first place was because their website claimed they had 160 T-shirts in the colour we required. That turned out to be untrue.
To top it off, they are taking a very long time to give us our refund. If i was them i would be very embarrassed and contrite, and be rushing to reimburse us.
