“Two orders aced minutes apart arrived three days apart and two days after my event despite 10 day order period. Then the orders arrived, business cards cut straight and the yellow on them was more of a grey colour. The ones I printed out at home in desperation were better! Totally avoid, as customer service were beyond useless and wanted all 250 business cards returned as photos were not good enough. I'm sure if I did return them I would not have got my money back. Avoid at all costs.”
“DEAR AWESOME MERCHANDISE SO YOU ARE PRETENDING TO SEND OUR PRODUCTS THROUGH A COMPANY CALLED Evri?????
IS Evri EVEN A COMPANY THAT SHIPS PRODUCTS? ARE YOU TWO "FRIENDS COMPANIES" THAT HAVE COMMON FRAUDS?
blessings to both”
“Order twice. First time 500 postcards are okay, not the best quality but the low price is fair. Order again, 1000 postcards, received 200 only after nearly a month, half of them are wrong print (from other orders).
Never never get a reply on email or phone or online chat or insta.
It is tricky.”
“does not meet any production deadlines. we have been ordering items for Christmas for two years, it is the end of November and we have not received anything. simply outrageous. certain items ordered and paid for in October int were simply cancelled. there is no customer follow-up, it's pathetic”
“Can’t reach them on phone, email or livechat. Gave them a timeframe to meet, wasn’t met. Haven’t sent me the money back for the two orders that were wrong so were never even printed.”
“I have been a customer of this company for many years so I am extremely upset by the service I am experiencing. I ordered 50 pairs of drum-sticks for my small business (nearly £200) at the beginning of August 2022. It’s now November and still no sticks. My requests for a refund are being completely ignored and no-one will answer the phone or emails. A disgusting way to treat your loyal customers!”
“when I placed the order, I did not know that the company had gone bankrupt. they accept orders but do not have the materials or personnel to carry out all the orders.
it saddens me that they are still accepting orders and payments from people who don't know that they will not get the payment back or the products be shipped.
the fact that they shut down paypal was a big sign that something was seriously wrong. if you pay with paypal you get your money back. if you pay into their account, you don't get the money back. they promise a refund, but this money will not come from them.
another sign was that they turned off comments on all their social networks.”
“Order placed more than 1 month ago, I cant get an update on my order, they have taken my money and not provided artwork yet. I have emailed and and called several times with no response? ITS A SCAM!!!! They continue to accept new order and your money but you will never receive nothing!!!”
“Something is going wrong at Awesome Merch. I hate writing negative reviews, but I’ve been a customer for a few years and this is not how they used to be.
Orders take a long, long, long time. I’ve been waiting over a month for some sticker packs. T-shirts took over a month as well.
T-shirts were sent in smaller batches as and when they were finished. I had one batch arrive missing an inside neck print - emails were ignored to have this rectified. Took 3 voicemail messages to have it followed up. The collection was missed 3 times and email responses were usually only after 2 emails (query and a query about the query).
Something is going seriously wrong at AM, reluctantly we’ll be moving our business elsewhere. Maybe they’re overwhelmed with too much business (*mini violin*) because the reliability and follow-up customer service has gone down the pan.
Greed has been placed over sustainable business practises imo and it can’t last at this rate.”
“We placed an order for 160 printed t-shirts with Awesome on 31 May, for use at an event on 1-3 July. ie we gave them plenty of time, well within what they claimed was necessary.
But a few days before the event they suddenly decided they wouldn't be able to do it in time. That led to us scrambling around in a panic looking for an alternative supplier, and paying over extra £300 for it then being a rush job.
I understand there are supply issues across the industry at the moment, but Awesome should have:
1) Made the unreliability of their ETA crystal clear at the beginning
2) Informed us far earlier in the process that delivering on time was going to be a problem.
3) Been honest from the start. The only reason we went to Awesome in the first place was because their website claimed they had 160 T-shirts in the colour we required. That turned out to be untrue.
To top it off, they are taking a very long time to give us our refund. If i was them i would be very embarrassed and contrite, and be rushing to reimburse us.”
“I ordered 200 cards on 6/08 but have not received my order as yet. I had to follow up twice for a tracking number, which I never got even though the response each time was, "your order will be shipped soon". Save your self the hassle and dont order from this company. No one picks up the phone and even though they specify a delivery time frame, they dont honor that time frame and expect you to wait.”
“Placed an order on 14th, got sent the wrong proof on the 18th. Responded straight away but it took them till the 24th to send the right proof and say they would get it into production. 1st of June rolls around and it STILL is not in production, and now won't be printed till after the Jubilee, meaning I probably won't recieve my order till around 8th of June.
I emailed twice during this time and tried to contact via Twitter with no response to any.”
“The experience began well and I was pretty happy with the support they gave with setting up my order. Yet, when I received my A5 prints they were all off centre and unframeable. I couldn't put them in my shop like that or my potential customers would be unhappy! I emailed them and asked them what print options were available. No response. After a few weeks I emailed them again, simply asking what could be done so I could have prints at the correct standard. At no point did I ask them for a refund, but here I am, a couple of months later still with no response. I am a self employed artist trying to build a small business and I can't afford this sort of issue as it's expensive. I am choosing to walk away as life is too short but do I recommend them? No. I do not.”
“We are starting court proceedings having given the company plenty of time to resolve without intervention. Quality of service misleading. They mispelled the company name. It should be Awful Merchandise. Easy mistake when you pay little attention to quality. We would be happy to address any other customers complaints in court at the same time and get remuneration for all. Customer service is there as a barrier to make you give up and this is unacceptable. Please feel free to PM @karenmbull2 on twitter and then we can get details of what you have paid and what you are owed in compensation.”
“I had a problem with an order recently and I was concerned about the treatment I would receive after reading the most recent reviews on this site. However, everything was resolved quickly and efficiently and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the company. My issue was with the printing on some t-shirts. The t-shirts were picked up from my home at no cost to myself and returned to Awesome Merchandise where customer service confirmed the printing error and sent out replacement shirts in a timely manner. You really couldn't ask for more than that. I cannot speak for anyone else of course, but I am happy with the service I received and will be using the company again.”
“Oh dear....
Ordered some enamel mugs after using Awesome for the last ten years and been happy with the service. Received the mugs yesterday to find the colour vastly different from the proof I signed off. The colour was washed out and not even close. I contacted the customer service and was told that "I did not specify I needed exact colour requirements..." Surely this is one of the most basic jobs of a printer to get the colours correct? Maybe even close would have been OK.
Then told the sublimation process is to blame. Then to blame the low-res nature of the proof. Come on guys just own up that it wasn't up to scratch and offer a partial refund and things would've been OK. You would've kept a customer and I wouldn't need to let others know online of my experience.
Theres 'acceptable' with a slight colour variation due to printing process and then theres what I received. Lesson learned which is a shame.
UPDATE: I have now been informed via email that they will run me a test print free of charge (wow thanks) that is accurate to the colours sent in the original artwork and then charge me for another run. How about you did it accurately to the colours to start with and we wouldn’t be in this scenario. Just admit your mistake and issue a partial refund…Make your own conclusions from my experience”
“Loathe to even give ine star. Circular stickers ordered ventured as per their own template and they sent them out utterly off centre it was almost comical, or would have been had this not set us back and been detrimental to us getting our product to customers. Appalling excuse for a company”
“Awful. Terrible customer service. Still havn't received my order. They are clearly over run and this is resulting in a terrible service. Funny how I heard so many good things and my experience has been one of the worst i've ever had with a print company over the 8 years i've worked as an illustrator.”
“Having used Awesome Merch for many years it saddens me to have to write this review.
We ordered some custom A3 & A4 calendars, half of which were needed by the 6th November for an event.
No problem we were told, the order would arrive before the end of October.
During the last week of October we were told there had been a delay and the order would now arrive the first week of November, but still ahead of the deadline of the 6th.
Later that week we were then told that a printer had broken and the order would now not be received before the deadline but the week commencing the 8th, missing the event.
This meant at our end once received we have to personally post out a lot of calendars already purchased to be collected at the event, thus enduring a huge unexpected and unaccounted for postage cost.
We also had to change the postage address for where we were going to be this week.
We were told dispatch would now be beginning of this week, which then soon changed to the end of this week and that the order would be dispatched yesterday to arrive via DPD today.
The other half of the order is for a business who is now losing money and the order was promised to them this week after the 3 delays. After the latest update I promised I would personally deliver the order to them Monday after it arrived with me today.
Yesterday I chased to ask for the postage tracking details (no updates from Awesome Merch unless you chase) and was told, once again, a printer had broken and a month on this order still wasn't even produced let alone dispatched!
4 delays, still no order, I asked for a manager to call me this morning as this is now costing us so much in delays as well as badly affecting another business and costing them too.
No call received yet (or email acknowledged)...
Worst customer service I have experienced in a long time. No kind of compensation offered.
Avoid this company if you actually need to receive what you order.
No updates unless you chase, 2 out of 4 delays due to 'a printer breaking', no reason given for the other 2.
Awful way to treat long standing loyal customers.
(If the order is ever received I'll update the review with quality info)”
