I ordered an item yesterday and chose the “click and collect” option.
The total cost of the item was £1.87. I drove a round trip of nearly 60 miles, only to be told that I could not have my goods as I had no ID! I’m am 61 years old and didn’t think for one minute that ID was needed for something that I had already purchased! The young man on the till was obviously embarrassed but couldn’t do anything due to the data protection act! What is this country coming too?
