My horse was having a bit of trouble adjusting from California to New England and his back was a bit stiff. I got this blanket after it was recommended by my vet. I have definitely noticed a difference in his back after using this blanket in conjunction with stretches and new exercises. It definitely keeps his back warmer. I would give it 5 stars, but the sizes it comes in are limited, so it is a bit big on him and the strap under the tail is just a rope that you have to apply and tie yourself.
