An item was ordered from banggood that was for Europe instead of North American power requirements (different plug and 220V 50Hz instead of 110V 60 Hertz). It was in the fine print and not in the description. I contacted them immediately 20 minutes after the order, they said the order was "processed" and could not be changed. They said refuse the item or return to sender upon receiving it and they will refund no problem. When I did receive it, it was opened at my door. I went to the post office they would not accept because it was opened. I paid to have it returned to sender. I watched the tracking until it reached its destination. The post office sent me an email of the signature of the receiver. I emailed Banggood and they continue to be vague and go in circles around the point. They said to return the item to them in China not to a warehouse where it came from. They will not do anything about it. I called the warehouse they speak Chinese and hang up on me I guess due to a language barrier. I have spoke to online chat and am told they cannot refund me due to not contacting them prior to sending it back. I contacted them prior to receiving it and prior to sending it back. They never told me to send to a Chinese address.. just to return to sender. The sender was from the warehouse as far as the postal company could tell!! As that was the return address on the shipping label. They will also not give me this Chinese address (and its too late now anyways but still wont provide it). Their emails are like speaking with a 4-year-old child, their online chat is also terrible they use fake names and stock photos and just try and quote statements from their return policy that I did follow so in reality doesnt make any sense to validate their defense. Its like trying to speak with a stubborn child. They will not refund they will not rectify the issue or call their warehouse where it was sent to. They just keep sending me the same email when I inquire about it. I even told them I will accept store credit instead of a refund in order to get the right product. In 15 years of purchasing online I have never been ripped off or seen such terrible customer service. Actually insulted to be quite honest by their responses. I would attach emails if I could to illustrate the point I am trying to make. This is just a scamming company with the worst customer service I have EVER!!!!!!!!! Seen. Stick with Amazon or Ebay or reputable companies. Avoid Banggood lke the plague……. 120$ totally wasted and nothing to show for it except a lot of wasted time sending emails back and forth and significant time on online chat trying to resolve this.
