I have NEVER had a more aggravating experience with any company than I've had with this one. I wish I could give them zero stars. I ordered a TV stand on December 30, 2018, with a shipping date of January 7, 2019. By January 9th, still no shipping date so cancelled order and received a cancellation e-mail on same date. Two hours after that e-mail, I received an e-mail from Fed Ex showing item was shipped and given a tracking number. Called Fed Ex and reported the order was cancelled and requested they ship item back to sender. Received confirmation from Fed Ex that item was shipped back to sender and given a name of person signing for item when received by them. Called my credit card company and disputed the charge as I had made numerous phone calls to company for a refund with no positive outcome. When Bar Stool Company responded to my credit card company, they outright lied to them and told them the item was shipped and was received by me. The credit card company therefore placed the charge back on my account. Numerous phone calls later and I was required to fax all my documentation back to credit card company showing that I NEVER received item and providing them with date of return and who signed for item. Now, I'm waiting for the credit card company to charge back the amount from Bar Stool Company and give me a refund. I received a canned letter from credit card company showing they have decided in my favor and will remove charge again from my account. I have been working on this issue for over two months and I still do not have a refund on my account. Now I find out that the credit card company is yet again contacting Bar Stool Company and giving them 90 days to reply to my dispute. They lied to the credit card company the first time, what's to stop them from lying again? Bar Stool Company no longer answers the phone on their customer service line and they have shut down the on-line chat. The only way you can get in touch with them is through e-mails, which after a month and a half, I still haven't received a reply. I have contacted my State Senator and written the Better Business Bureau to file a formal complaint against this sham company. My credit card company felt so bad about what this company is doing to me, they issued a $50.00 credit on my account to help defray the stress I have experienced with Bar Stool Company. It's really amazing and baffling that a sham company can place a charge on your account in a matter of seconds, but it can take months to process a refund even if you have signed evidence showing you never received the item. Obviously the laws in this country favor the businesses and not the consumers!
