I spent one and a half hours on the phone going through 5 security checks when I was trying to pay my monthly mortgage payment by debit card. I was told that my payment was declined because my home address was different to the one that the mortgage payment was for and this meant that their systems couldn't process it. I rent out the mortgaged property so how can I have that as my home address? I was told to wait on hold so many times that
One and a half hours later I was frazzled and stressed. There is always a huge wait when telephoning Barclays; it's badly managed, uncustomer friendly, has call handlers that you can't understand and have limited knowledge. I would have put 0 stars if possible.
