I joined Barrel Lane based on the tasting notes for the Timboon smoked sherry offering. It arrived along with all the promised extras in the box and the tasting notes are spot-on. I’ve never done this with any other whiskey but I sit with my nose in the glass just inhaling the delicious aroma. I live in a very, very remote part of Australia where post can take several weeks more than in other locations but my box arrived quickly and was as good as it looked in the ads. A real issue I have with subscription services is getting trapped into a long, expensive contract. Barrel lane totally understood when I had a change in circumstances and had to pause my subscription and I’m sure if I wanted to cancel they would be as accommodating. No locked-in payments mean I’m in. Barrel Lane has been everything I hoped and nothing I feared. So much so that I also joined Garden Street Gin club at their recommendation and I’m equally as impressed. I have no issue recommending either club and I have already brought several people in. Great service with no hidden hassles to worry about. Highly recommended.
