My parents were due to go on a final cruise back in March, however this was cancelled on March 11th due to the coronavirus. We are now in July and they have still not received their refund from Barrhead Travel. The cruise company Fred Olsen, refunded the money to Barrhead back in May but are withholding these funds and even though Dad has sent numerous emails, they haven't even had the decency to send him a personal response! To say that I am incensed is an understatement. Dad is 96, Mum is 88 and has Alzheimers. This was their last chance to go on a cruise with mum's declining health. He was an RAF pilot in the second world war and has used savings to pay for this cruise. £8000 that is not being refunded to a man who is almost 100 and he has now got the added pressure of having to consider consulting a lawyer. It's disgusting. Barrhead Travel - feel free to send me a response!
