Mattress very hard but softened over the next couple of months. The mattress is very heavy and this makes it difficult to turn. Overall, a good mattress for the money. Delivery is by one person only and the mattress is just put inside the front door. If you pay extra you can have an extra person to help and the mattress will be place in whatever room you want.
