I ordered 20 augustiner helles and 5 augustiner Edelstoff to arrive for Christmas. On the 19th of December I received an e mail saying my order had been despatched and would usually be with me the next working day. I waited until the 23rd with no further communication until I decided to send an e mail. I was told they had only received Edelstoff from the suppliers and had not been able to make up my order. To only be made aware of this 2 days before Christmas was bad enough but I understand it is a busy period but what I did not understand is why there was no attempt to offer any form of alternative. Why not offer to make up the order with Edelstoff? Why not offer any form of compensation? Instead I received an e mail with excuses and a refund, there was an opportunity to show good customer service and rescue something of a bad situation but instead it was made a whole lot worse. Very poor.
