We went to buy a car from BMW today, but changed our mind when the warranty was explained to us. We were spending £12k on a 2017 car with 30k miles, but the warranty they were offering was a) for 3 months only, and b) only for the first £500 of any repair to the engine, gearbox, transmission or electronics.
I'm not even sure this is legal - but of course, you can buy a 1-3 year warranty at the cost of between £1000 - £1800. We passed and reading the reviews below I'm glad we did.
The car itself was great, clean, good condition, and exactly what we wanted - but we've found a better one - £200 cheaper, similar spec, but with a free 12 month warranty that BMW would have charged us £1000+ for .....and then we'd have struggled to claim under.
Stay clear.
