We booked a 2 hour lesson with bill plant to kick start learning to drive. He had already had some independent lessons to try to get used to stopping and starting. For the full two hours, the learner was left to start and stop around a car park, with no road experience at all. On their website they state that you will be taken to a quiet road to get used to the controls. I understand that as a new driver, caution should be taken, however it is unheard of that the full 2 hours will be contained to one small space with no road experience at all. Once the lesson finished and he was driven home by the instructor, he was told that the next lesson would be an even higher price. It is fair to say that he did not have any further lessons with this company and I would not recommend anyone bothers as they are a con. If we had been told that the plan was to take him to a carpark for two hours, we wouldn't have gone with them. £80 down the drain. He has since been with another independent driving instructor who took him on the road first lesson and he learned more with them in 20 minutes than he did with bill plant in 2 hours.
