I bought a hi hat stand that was delivered in a very shabby speaker stand box I nearly told the courier its not for me then I thought I'd look and the docket said from Billy Hyde so checked and inside was my hi hat stand but had no bubble wrap or padding at all and because of that the box was squashed and torn and just sticky-taped. Hi hat stands need padding in packaging as the bar can easily bend and be ruined. I was amazed it was in good condition but was obviously a display model or it would've been in its own unopened and packaged properly box. A zero score on packing there Billy Hyde.
