Yesterday, I attempted to order a bouquet for my elderly mother through your website. The site repeatedly gave me an error message: “bloomex.ca says user not found.” After wasting time trying to resolve this online, I was forced to call Bloomex to place the order manually.
The representative assured me the flowers would be delivered to my mother’s retirement facility by 6 or 7 PM Mountain Time, at the latest. I made it clear how important the timing was, given her age and the setting. Despite this, I did not receive any confirmation that my order was processed until 6 AM Pacific this morning.
As the day went on and no delivery update arrived, I called Bloomex several times. Each time, your call recording cut me off, claiming all agents were busy. The online chat was equally useless-I waited 20 minutes with no response before finally shutting down the chat. When I finally got through to someone through your phone support (after being passed around from customer support person to customer support person), they said they would call the carrier then call me back to update me, but I never heard back. After yet another call to them (30 min later), I was told the flowers would arrive before 9 PM Mountain Time and that they had no way to reach the carrier because it was a courier.
A Mother’s Day bouquet arriving at 9 PM for an elderly person in a retirement facility is absolutely unacceptable. Your support staff clearly have no idea what’s going on, and reaching them is a nightmare. The live chat doesn’t work, and the phone system is broken.
At 9 PM Mountain Time today (Mother's Day), your website claimed the order was delivered. My mother, however, had received nothing. Only after I called her did she find the bouquet abandoned outside a neighbor’s door-no knock, no phone call, not even the correct address. There were no SMS updates to me as I'd requested on my account and order.
To make matters worse, when she opened the box while I was on the phone, the bouquet inside was not only ugly, but absolutely not what I ordered. I was mortified that this is what was sent in my name - for $70! The 'bouquet' looked like it had been purchased from a convenience store - at best.
This is a complete failure on every level:
The order was not delivered to the correct address.
There was no attempt to notify the recipient.
The product received was not what I ordered and was of shockingly poor quality.
Your customer support was unreachable or unhelpful at every turn.
I've run a business for 23 years, and I wouldn't be in business if this was how I treated my customers.
Bloomex has failed to deliver on its promises in every possible way.
