After 12 years as a Bluehost customer, I can confidently say their service has degraded beyond belief—and their business practices are outright predatory.
For over a decade, my experience with Bluehost was tolerable. Not great, but functional. That all changed when I upgraded my service last year, expecting better performance. Instead, I got constant problems, downtime, and sluggish performance.
I spent countless hours with their support team, going through the same useless troubleshooting steps, only to hear, “We’ll move you to a new server—that should fix it.” Finally, I agreed, only to be slapped with an exorbitant extra charge just to move my account. But guess what? It didn’t fix anything.
Frustrated and exhausted, I left Bluehost entirely. You’d think, after paying for two more years of service upfront, they would at least offer a partial refund for the time I won’t be using. Nope. They flat-out refused. So not only did they fail to deliver on their promises, but they also kept my money for a service I won’t use.
Bluehost has become a cash-grabbing, customer-hostile company that preys on long-time users with deceptive upsells and pathetic service. If you’re considering Bluehost, run in the opposite direction. There are far better, more ethical hosting providers out there.
Final Verdict: 0/5 – Avoid at all costs.
