shocking service and awful hosting. AVOID. Also all reviews across the internet are mostly fake, these are paid affiliate reviews that receive a payment when you sign up through the link in their review.

DO NOT USE BLUEHOST, they use the worst unethical practices. There business model is to secretly add packages unknown to you and charge the card as much as possible.

Bluehost is an absolute nightmare! Do yourself a favour and avoid it at all costs. Their so-called 5-star reviews? Completely fake. The support team knows nothing—literally zero. If you have an issue, brace yourself because not only will they fail to fix it, they'll make it worse. Every time you call back, you'll have to explain everything from scratch to a new clueless agent who apologizes and promises to help and then adds a fresh problem on top of the original one. It's an endless loop of incompetence. After wasting countless hours and days talking, providing numerous screenshots of the errors to many agents who don't know what they're doing, their final advice is to hire a developer—out of your own pocket! Why am I paying for your mistakes, Bluehost? Shouldn't fixing your mess be free? Meanwhile, your site is live, and instead of promoting it, you're stuck on the phone, begging for a manager who's always conveniently "unavailable." When you finally get through—not to a manager, but a supervisor—after an hour and a half, the call drops because he can't hear you! Does he bother calling back? Of course not. He just moves on to the next victim, leaving you with the same unresolved issues. What a joke!!!! I even called back AGAIN and asked for the same supervisor. They assured me he'd call back in minutes, but surprise—it's been hours, and still nothing. That's why I'm spending my time writing this review instead of waiting around for a callback that's never coming. If you're a developer like me looking for professional hosting, Bluehost is the absolute worst option. They can't handle something as basic as charging the correct credit card. Despite clear instructions, they'll still charge the one you told them not to. Now I have to call them back yet again tomorrow, but this time I'm done with supervisors—I'll be demanding a manager. I wouldn't even bother calling if my site wasn't already live. I'd wait until my domain expires. But until that day comes, I'll ensure everyone hears about your terrible service.

Bluehost switches up the services it provides and just STOPS providing when it does this. Bluehost does not protect WORDPRESS websites. We have been hacked twice now, and must move our Business website to a secure platform now. We have Weebly sites on Bluehost and they have been hacked. This low level of protection is pathetic. Their Tech Support is third world and you have trouble understanding them, and their support is very low level. You have to wait for actual Tech Support AFTER you wait forever on hold through the low level Support trying to help.

They don't even deserve one star. They deserve NOTHING at all. Still living in the last century. They do not even provide a customer service email address; you need to chat with them as you would be with a friend. And then it takes hours for your questions to be answered. Absolutely great in this fast paced world.

They won't give me access to my account and customer service is awful! I have a few websites and all of a sudden my account is blocked on their server. Each time I message them, they say they've reported it to the right department and I will have an answer shortly. As I haven't received anything from them in days, I've messaged them again and again I've been told they've reported and I will be contacted shortly - still haven't. I've then spent £100 calling in America to speak with someone from Bluehost and I've been told none of my previous complaints / issues have been logged / tranfered to other departments so I was waiting for nothing. The lady on the phone said she will get things sorted and someone will be in touch within 72 hours. It's been more than a week and no one been in touch with me. It's been a month and I can't access my account. They've also charged my card and renewed my service for another whole year while I've been locked out of my account. My domain names are expiring and I can't renew them as I don't have access to my account. I have angry customers shouting at me and it's nothing I can do about it. I'm now looking into taking legal action as this has gone beyond far.

This is not a good company if you take your business seriously. They have poor customer service and horrible spam and virus protection. They will sell you additional protection and your site will get hacked.

Bluehost are thieves! My recent experience with Bluehost was disappointing for several reasons. I had difficulty getting my domains returned when needed, even after I purchased them for a year, causing delays and complications for my business. They essentially locked my account, then deleted it without any warning or notice, without telling me the reason why, and then afterwards kept my purchased domains for themselves. They essentially stole the domains that I bought. Which, in turn, caused me to lose a lot of money. The customer support team was unprofessional and inefficient, often providing delayed responses and lacking actionable solutions. Additionally, there was inconsistency in the knowledge and advice provided by the support agents, leading to wasted time and frustration. I would speak with a different agent each morning, and they would always promise the issue would be resolved at the end of the day, but it never gets resolved, even with the constant reassurance. Overall, Bluehost showed a considerable gap in customer service, technical support, and professionalism. Bluehost claims they care the most about their customers, but I found that to be a complete lie after dealing with their support team for weeks. I would advise caution to those considering Bluehost for their hosting needs and suggest looking into alternative providers. Case number is:S-2587982

They have horrible customer service and no one knows what they are doing. You ask a question and they don't understand what you're saying. you'll have to repeat yourself a lot and say in laymen terms for them to understand. Your website gets somehow messed up then they charge you to fix it just another way for them to make more money. Hosting plan changes from 58 to 1079 after 3 years and wasn't told that either. It's for website build and my site was already built they said its for hosting but so many other companies out there that don't charge that much. plus youlll have to pay monthly on top of that.

HostMonster and Bluehost: A Nightmare of Incompetence and Theft I cannot believe the sheer audacity of HostMonster and Bluehost. These companies are absolute disasters. My hosting account has been a nonstop nightmare, with servers hacked on a weekly basis. It's like they're running a charity for hackers! To add insult to injury, someone managed to access my panel and purchase a whopping 25 domains without my authorization. Despite having two-factor authentication set up, their security is about as effective as a paperclip. When I finally realized the mess, I contacted support and was met with a shocking level of incompetence. It took them over a week to even acknowledge the problem, let alone start to fix it. When I demanded a concrete timeline, the support rep abruptly ended the chat. I tried to escalate the issue to a manager, but they seemed to have vanished into thin air. HostMonster and Bluehost are a disgrace to the hosting industry. Their servers are a breeding ground for hackers, their security is a joke, and their customer support is non-existent. I strongly advise anyone considering these companies to run as fast as possible in the opposite direction. You've been warned! TL;DR: HostMonster and Bluehost are terrible. Servers get hacked constantly, security is a joke, support is useless, and they stole my money. Avoid at all costs!

I've used Bluehost for about 12 years. Their product and service is over-priced and provides minimal results, and finally after all of the money I have spent on their services, in the interim period between my website being hosted on Bluehost and moving to Squarespace, the Bluehost message is that my account has been suspended. It's like being kicked in the butt, as you walk out the door.

"My experience with this dishonest firm was appalling. I've tried to get my money back for three months now, but they keep saying it's still being worked on. They won't stop asking for more money and keeping your gains from you. I was fortunate to locate L_*_O_*_U_*_D_*_O_*_U_*_I_*_N.C_*_O_*_M, and their friendly staff ensured that I received a full reimbursement.

Bluehost used to be very good. They had offices in Salt Lake City. Now you call and get Manila. Most chat guys are useless. You have to go through 2-4 chats to solve a problem. The site is mostly up, which is good. Customer service has declined over the years.

Bluehost used to be good but now - it apparently doesn’t matter how many times you cancel their garbage service - they’ve linked you to many companies that keep charging you. “Oh, you canceled your Bluehost hosting and all the rest extras but you didn’t cancel this.” A year later, “Oh yeah, you canceled all the other stuff except this.” Months later, “Oh yeah, this wasn’t canceled but don’t worry it’s only a hundred a year paid for something you haven’t needed in a year.” Bluehost is prob making a killing off just being a POS scammer company now.

FRAUD COMPANY! BLUEHOST CRASHED OUR WHOLE SYSTEM. DON'T USE THEM This email hosting service took down our website, crashed our computer system, corrupted our whole email account, and our in house IT department could not even fix the damage. We are now having to pay outside help to rebuild everything. Soon as they redirected the DNS server number. It crashed everything. They were very nice and refunded our money. But I would not use this company ever again. Sorry for the bad review bluehost. But you just cost us a ton of money and headaches. So you deserve the bad review. This hurt us very bad. UPDATE 6-28-2024. Their reply online to us is a lie. They only refunded 60% of the money, and kept about 40% of the money. We cancelled within 3 days after the DNS SERVER code was changed. They refused to do a refund no matter how many times we pleaded with them, hence the angry review you are reading. We lost 10 years worth of documents and were never able to get them back. Very shady company, obvious liars. Run away from this company!!! You will run the risk of having your website, and email crash. Then when you cancel. You will not get all your money back. I hate these people. I will be leaving bad reviews on every website I can find to help warn other business.

Awful. I am a web developer. I hosted most of my clients on Bluehost because of their initial low prices, but soon after I began migrating them all away due to poor technical support, poor products and shady business practices. They offer cheap prices to lure you in. After the first year the costs sky rocket, including $125 for an SSL certificate alone. Support is terrible and they deny refunds if the service has already renewed. They charge your card weeks before your services renew so unless you migrate away a month before your services renew you're stuck for a very expensive year

Absolutely INFURIATED with BLUE HOST! There are SO MANY better hosting companies out there with actual customer service and fair practices! They charged my credit card without my permission after sending an expired order number. I haven't used their service for OVER 2 YEARS and had auto-renew turned OFF! Apparently, they claim auto-renew for domains is "separate" from hosting (a total scam tactic!). Customer service was USELESS! Zero empathy, zero care, just their stupid "company policy" excuse. WEEKS after I caught the charge, I showed them proof of the expired order number and my account clearly displaying expiration, but they hid behind their fine print to deny a refund. DON'T BE THEIR NEXT VICTIM! Take your business ANYWHERE ELSE! There are plenty of hosting sites that treat customers with RESPECT and HONESTY. These people only care about squeezing every penny out of you, not providing a good service. Here's what they kept repeating in their useless chat: "I understand your frustration, but our policy does not allow for refunds once the term starts. This policy applies to all customers to ensure fairness. I'm unable to make an exception in this case." Yeah, "fairness" for them means SCAMMING customers! Spread the word - AVOID BLUE HOST at all costs!
