I usually wear a 3x. I ordered a holiday sweater and ordered it in 5x as I wanted a baggy fit. It didn't fit. My son is a 2x, it fit him but was snug. My grandson wears an xl and it fit him beautifully (I gave it to him rather than hassle with a return.)
It's a gorgeous sweater. Not sure if there are sizing differences between the US and Britain but be aware
