It was around midday when I thought I'd go to the kitchen to grab a lovely delicious bite as I was feeling peckish. As I got out of my room and into the passageway, I see a blue letter on the shoe rack, quite thick. My mum normally leaves it there if she doesn't know who's it is. Mind you, I was also holding a mug to fill up my water. So I see my name, my full name - but don't really pay attention to any other part of the front (where I later find out it says handle with Love). It's quite thick so I'm thinking, hey maybe it's like a little booklet or something. So I open it, ripping the ribbon velcro-like thing. Inside is a square cardbox....what on earth could this be... So there's a little flap that is tucked into a slit. I've seen many packages like this - it can't possibly be any complicated - just pull it out and reveal what's inside. And that's when.... I JUMPED LIKE A GIRL AND FELL BACK ONTO THE CONCRETE WALL. A MONKEY HAD POPPED OUT THE CARDBOX BOX and it had boxed me right in the chest. It rebounded and fell to the floor. My heart was beating at 200bpm. I was confused, dazed, completely out of it. Along with this, there was a gazillion MULTICOLORED STARS ACROSS THE WHOLE FLOOR. It was like I got hit with those confetti party poppers! I was in shock, in awe. My mum and dad were in the living room. They did not suspect a thing. I quickly ran to my room, grabbed my phone and took a picture to show the baffoon that had sent me this. I then quickly scuffled across the floor, picking up the stars one by one, hoping that my mum would not catch me in embaressment, with a monkey and stars on the floor. I quickly shoved them into the cardboard box, ran to my room and lay it on the table. And that was that, I took a look inside and found a message, there was a picture of a relegious quote too which came out in particularly good quality. It was a very cute message and brought warmness to my heart and a big smile on my face 🤍
