We have had the Drolet Escape 1800 insert for two seasons now. It is a fantastic stove. I had a previous brand for about two months, pulled it out and returned it. The Drolet 1800 is much deeper and wider and can actually take split wood and logs up to 20 inches long or 16 inches deep. The fan is at least 50% more powerful than other brands and really throws the heat. It is quality built in Canada, not China. We have a split ranch and this little insert heats about 75% of the house with no problem. With the full glass door, or you can watch the flames roll across the wood. The draft is easy to adjust for maximum heat or length of burn.
