My elderly mother had paid into a Brighthouse long term care policy since 1995.
3 months ago,our family decided mom needed some home healthcare. We started the process-paperwork and more paperwork to file. We had a video functional assessment, it was completely impersonal and very demeaning to the individual having the assessment. Not surprisingly, they said mom was not eligible. We started a review of the claim, spoke with many people, sent reams of faxes and emails. The last 3 weeks of moms life she was immobile. She was under hospice care for 3 days and then passed away. The service was terrible and by delaying so long they did not have to pay a claim. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
