The customer service is TERRIBLE. They are unorganized and very, very rude. And everything happens by paper mail (!!) so if you have to resend a form, it takes them a week to send it to you, then another three weeks to process. Heaven forbid you leave the tiniest detail off the form - you will have to completely start the months-long process over from scratch. We are 16 years in to the 30 year life ins policy that we opened with Metlife, who then "passed" us (or sold?) the policies to this joke of a company. If you have to update anything or change y our address, expect to your policy to be in jeopardy, and for it to take months and months for any resolution.
